USAT presents an
innovative MD curriculum that conveniently incorporates critical areas
of nutrition, complimentary and alternative medicine, and physical
medicine into the traditional basic sciences and clinical years, and
introduces clinical exposure from the first semester. The Basic sciences
consists of 2 blocks of coursework (I=Basic sciences and II=preclinical
sciences) comprising a 20 month / 80 week duration, and the clinical
years are also conveniently divided into two blocks of instruction
(III=core specialties and IV=elective specialties) comprising a total of
20 months/80 weeks of clinical training.
Basic
Sciences, Block I: Three semesters, 48 weeks, 68 credits

Examination. A certificate of completion of Basic Medical Sciences will
be issued upon successful completion of Basic Medical
Sciences
addition, qualified students who hold a Bachelor's degree may apply the
graduate credits earned in medical Basic Sciences toward a non-thesis
Master of Sciences Degree, with a specialty in Medical Sciences. A
minimum GPA of 2.75 is required for progression to Block III and beyond,
and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in Graduate Level Coursework is required for
award of the Master of Science Degree in any specialty.

majority of the courses in the Medical (MD, DO, NMD, MBBS) Curricula are
numbered > 500 and therefore presented at a Graduate level.
Note
4:
Students
may apply for award of the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
degree after completion of a minimum of 60 weeks of clinical training,
including cores in Medicine, Surgery, Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics, Emergency
