PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT
Bachelor
of Ophthalmology Medicine and Surgery (BOMS)
USAT
is pleased to announce the establishment of the newly created BOMS
program in ophthalmology. This
is a jointly conducted professional program between the Rahul Institute
of Research of Medicine and Dental Sciences (RIRMDS), Ludhianna,
India and USAT, and
is offered as both a 2 year and a 4 year program duration.
The program is designed to help
meet the needs of India and other Nations in improving
professional services in Ophthalmology, and to meet recent changes in
professional registration requirements in Ophthalmology and
Ophthalmologic Medicine and Surgery.
The
two year program is designed to enable graduates of the Diploma in
Ophthalmology certification, and the 4 year program is designed to meet
the requirements of those individuals who
seek a career in
ophthalmology.
Graduates
of the BOMS program will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of
Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and
Doctor of Medicine (MD) programs of USAT, with appropriate credit
transfer for applicable courses completed in the BOMS program.
The BOMS program is conducted
exclusively in India at this time, while the clinical and other academic
elements of the MBBS and MD programs can be completed in India,
Montserrat, the USA and other nations.
All degrees, official
transcripts, and other
pertinent documents earned
at USAT are issued from the Main
campus in Montserrat only.
